Mission and Vision
Our Mission
Portuguese Americans For Higher Education, Inc. is a non-profit, tax- exempt organization founded in 1990 in Peabody, Massachusetts to emphasize the value and necessity of higher education to the Portuguese community, particularly immigrant families coming from a European society in which education was not often attainable due to socioeconomic limitations. We focus our efforts on the North Shore which historically have large Portuguese immigrant communities.
Our Vision
Portuguese Americans For Higher Education emphasizes the necessity and importance of education by bringing people together to celebrate the commitment of the community, raising funds for scholarships and publicizing the achievements of deserving students.
